Welcome to Line Dry

This year I wrote a few drafts of a fantasy adventure novella and shot a food and beverage portfolio on film and digital. I have confidence that this project will last longer. It intersects with my real life much more. I’ve been wearing clothes for as long as I can remember. Over time I’ve grown more conscious of their qualities. First style, then fit, material comfort, and most recently, longevity.

A travel sewing kit that saves jackets when their button comes loose. A drying rack to reduce stress on material. Anti-bacterial additives for synthetic athletic clothing that can’t handle high heat wash or drying cycles. A focus on classic and exaggerated wider styles.

I’ll be looking at clothes on this blog. I plan to spend time with them, share care procedures, changes over time and my feelings about their value. I’ll get into fit a bit, because most of this clothing is available to most of its customers exclusively online, and I’d like to help you figure out what might fit you. My hope is to provide enough detail that you are able to tell whether an item isn’t for you, even if I love it and visa-versa. I’ll spend some time on supply chain as well because I like knowing how things work. I may also get into skincare, lifestyle, photography, travel and food because I love these things and I have successfully advised real people in my social circle on them.

It’s my hope that my writing will exist in conversation with forum posts and comments. In aggregate, I hope we come to a better understanding of what brands, styles and cuts fit us. For better and worse, our bodies are all different. A singular voice can’t possibly provide all the information everyone needs.
